The alternative to Live and Let Live is the status quo in which we currently live:
- More rules than can be remembered, and punishment for breaking any one of them.
- [Link to a table showing the number of rules and regulations per country]
- It is an abusive of power to punish someone for breaking a rule that can’t be remembered via an action that doesn’t harm anyone.
- [The Code of Federal Regulations in the US contains over 100 million words, making it over 100X the entire works of Shakespeare (884,000 words). US Federal, State and Tax laws are an additional 60 million words.]
- Freedom of choice overridden by the powerful few.
- [Mob rule; the tyranny of the elites and the persuadable majority]
- Hollowing of community by distant powers.
- [People you’ve never met deciding what is best for you and your loved ones.]
- Ever increasing debt, sapping our creative potential.
- [Show how even the interest cost on debt is, over time, superseding the cost of government services people want]
- Unjust aggression inflicted on those causing no harm to others.
- [If someone wants to ingest a herb, without harming anyone else, why should we punish them?]
- Institutionalised theft, war and environmental damage.
- [These are existential threats. Why do we tolerate these, yet show intolerance to activities that cause no harm?]
- Uncompromising enforcement of nonsensical ideas.
- [Why sign up for this, when instead we can adhere to timeless principles, liberally applied?]
