The Legal Principle

The Live and Let Live Movement seeks to prohibit all aggression.

In addition to encouraging people to be excellent humans, the Movement promotes calibrating (assess and adjust) the law to remove aggression in the spirit of freedom. The Movement seeks to prohibit all aggression. The Live and Let Live Legal Principle – Don’t Aggress – requires all acts of aggression should always be illegal. This is not a suggestion and there are no exceptions.

The Legal Principle applies to all people equally, even if they form groups, organizations, corporations, or governments. It is the most fundamental legal principle upon which all other laws ought to be based. Therefore, all laws ought to be in harmony with the Legal Principle such that all aggression be outlawed.

“Aggression” Defined:

  1. Initiating nonconsensual force against another person or their property;
  2. Engaging in fraud;
  3. Engaging in coercion; 
  4. Creating a substantial risk or threat of initiating nonconsensual physical force against another person or their property;
  5. Breaching a valid contract; 
  6. Engaging in unreasonable conduct causing harm to another person or their property; or
  7. Breaching a fiduciary duty.
