The Live and Let Live Community Inc. (“we”, “us”) a public charity in accordance with section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code (EIN: 86-3073349) and registered in Arizona, is committed to upholding your privacy.

This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

By visiting our website or registering and using the Live and Let Live Circle, you consent to the below.

2. Information and Personal Information

Information we collect includes information:

  • you knowingly and actively provide us when using or participating in any of our services and promotions, and
  • automatically sent by your electronic devices when, or as a result of, accessing our products and services (such as IP addresses and device types).

While such information may not be personally identifying by itself, it may be used in combination with other data to personally identify you.

We only collect and use your personal information when we have a legitimate reason for doing so. We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services to you.

When using the Circle, we specifically collect the following information:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Location
  • Optional profile cover image and biographical details
  • Activity logs (e.g., login time, group joins, posts).

3. Collection of Information

We may collect your information in a variety of ways, such as when you:

  • register to receive updates from us via email or on social media
  • use an app or web browser to access our content
  • contact us via email, social media, or on any similar digital platform
  • mention us on social media
  • register an account to access and use the Circle.

4. Use of Information

We may use your data for legitimate interests such as:

  • communicating with you
  • operating a website relevant and adds value to users
  • displaying correct content on our website
  • administering a promotion, competition, survey, or other website or digital feature
  • to respond to inquiries about our website or programs
  • managing user accounts and personalizing the member experience on the Circle
  • connecting members with each other in forums, groups, and trainings
  • communicating updates, new opportunities, or changes to platform services
  • improving the functionality and security of the Circle
  • for use as research data, treated anonymously
  • complying with legal obligations
  • advertising and marketing, including sending you promotional information about our products and services and information about third parties which may be of interest to you

We do not sell or rent your data to any third party for marketing/promotional purposes. We do not share your data to any third parties unless required under law.

5. Storage of Information

The information we collect is stored securely on cloud-based servers outside of the European Economic Area.

Security measures we implement to protect your information include:

  • using encrypted data transmission (SSL)
  • password hashing and database encryption
  • making daily site backups
  • employing firewall and malware scanning
  • using role-based access controls for administrators.

Please note, no system is 100% secure. For users of the Circle, we encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to notify us if you suspect or can confirm any unauthorized activity.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • withhold personal information
  • access or request further details from us about the personal information we hold about you, and
  • request us to correct any errors within the personal information we hold about you.

At any time you may opt out of any direct marketing communications we may make.

Where California privacy law is applicable, you have a legal right to know and the right to deletion of your data. Even though we do not sell your data, you retain the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Please refer to paragraph 12 below should you wish to exercise any of these rights.

Where EU/EEA data protection law is applicable, please note that we process your personal information with legitimate interests and, where required, with your consent. You have the right to data portability, the right to restrict the processing of your data and the right to object to us handling your data. If your personal information is no longer required for our use, we will delete it or will anonymize it by removing all details which identify you.

You may request deletion of your data by:

  • for users of the Circle, by visiting your profile settings and selecting “Delete Account”.

Some anonymized backup data may persist upon deletion for security or audit reasons.

10. Breach of this Policy

If we become aware of any suspected or actual breach, we will:

  • make effort to determine the affected users, and
  • notify any affected users of the breach.

11. Limitations

Our website, the Circle or other digital platforms we manage may link to external websites which we do not control or operate.
Please note we have no control over the content and policies of any such website and are not responsible or liable for those associated privacy practices and information handling measures.
