National headlining comedian, Bo Irvine has been entertaining mainland & local audiences since 1988.
His national TV credits include A&E’s “Comedy on the Road,” Showtime’s “Comedy Club Network,” HBO Comic Relief, NBC Late Nite, and winner of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” Season 6 Hawaii Showcase.
He performed alongside George Carlin, Howie Mandel, Jeff Foxworthy, Brad Garrett and George Wallace. Pre-Pandemic, Bo’s Waikiki show, “High & Right Comedy Night” with a 5* TripAdvisor rating ran at the Hale Koa Hotel from 2010 through March 2020.
From March 2008 to January 2013, Bo also headlined his stand-up show, “Comedy Polynesia” at the Waikiki Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel.
Nazim has worked with some of the world’s greatest jazz masters such as: Eddie Harris, Eddie Henderson, Hank Jones, Arthur Prysock, Richard “Groove” Holmes, Carl Burnett, Billy Higgins, Pharoah Sanders, John Handy, Mary Stallings and many others.
He has studied with Eddie Harris and Joe Henderson for a while. Eddie Harris was his biggest influence. He has had an extensive history mainly in the San Francisco Bay Area. He played with the San Francisco Big Band for 13 years; performed with his own group (The Nazim Rashid Sextet) and is currently performing with his quartet (The New Renaissance Quartet aka Nazim Rashid & New Renaissance) in the Phoenix, AZ area.
Nazim recorded a new age CD release -Erin Jacobsen’s “Hour of the Pearl” on Ursa Minor Records and a CD Released under his name in 2002 entitled “REMEMBRANCE” on Presto Records. Nazim also toured with the Coasters and the Drifters in the late 70’s.
Nazim teaches saxophone lessons privately calling his course “An Holistic Approach to the Art Form.” He includes Personal Development training along with an emphasis on correct breathing and muscle development for his students.
